An Introduction to Me

Hi! My name is Mel and even though I'm writing this blog as a journal of sorts, I figure an introduction for anyone who stumbles across it probably couldn't hurt. I am a 33 year old, bisexual, polyamorous woman. I am married (10 years this November) to my amazing husband, and this year I will be celebrating my one year anniversary with my wonderful girlfriend. I have recently started studying Wicca, Witchcraft, and Tarot and this blog will be a sort of reflective, expression of that study and my path. I am very bad with remembering to post on a blog (I will try to be good about this one though), so bear with me if there are gaps in time between posts. 

I want to write about a number of topics including Wicca, witchcraft, tarot, book reviews, favorites I find, things that resonate with me, general life updates, experiences, and tons of other things. Like I said, this will be a sort of journal, but I hope if you stumble upon it you may find a few things that resonate with your spirit that you can carry forward in your own journey. I will attempt to tag things so that they are easy to sort and separate by interest/topic.

Ritual, Deities, Magickal Name, Books, and School

I cast my first circle! It was quite an amazing experience. I cast the circle, did some divination (in the form of tarot and my pendulum), meditated, and did the cakes and ale ritual (with bread and juice). I confirmed a few things that I had been thinking on, including my deities and Magickal Name. Here is a picture of my altar set up pre-ritual: First let's chat about my deities, specifically my patron God and Goddess. I have been called to work with Hecate and Apollo. While previously I didn't know much about them, the more I learn, the more it makes sense that they would be the ones I work with. Hecate, the Torch Bearer, is the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. While I"m not particularly drawn to ghosts or necromancy at this time, all of the other aspects of her are things I am very aligned with.
